ANAHEIM, Calif. — Truck manufacturer Paccar Inc. and global automaker Toyota Motor Corp. are moving forward with a partnership to produce fuel cell electric Class 8 trucks.

Paccar saw its earnings jump 22% year-over-year in the three months that ended March 31 on the back of record revenue and a jump in margins.

North American Class 8 orders in July, not unexpectedly, crawled to 11,400, the lowest point of the year. ACT Research reported the figure, citing truck makers’ data that was preliminary but largely complete.
