Vermont roads and bridges washed out by Hurricane Irene in August have been repaired quickly since then, the New York Times reported Tuesday.

This year’s Atlantic hurricane season, which starts Wednesday, could produce more storms than usual and include three to six major storms, according to the U.S. Climate Prediction Center, Bloomberg reported.

Federal officials are forecasting an active Atlantic hurricane season this year, with 14 to 23 tropical storms, including eight to 14 hurricanes, the Associated Press reported
