Chattanooga, Tenn.-based third-party logistics group Kenco is to buy The Shippers Group, a Dallas-based third-party warehousing company, it said.

Logistics giant Kenco has started offering “white glove” home delivery of merchandise for some of its business customers in five areas of the country, including Chattanooga, Tenn., with plans to expand the service.

Kenco Logistics, North America’s biggest privately owned third-party logistics provider, has opened another warehouse to serve the Los Angeles market in Perris, Calif.

Kenco Group has appointed Denis Reilly president and CEO to succeed Jane Kennedy Greene, who will remain chairwoman of the board of directors.
