Inc. will raise prices 5.9%, to take effect on Dec. 26.

The higher average price “helps to support ongoing expansion and capability enhancement,” UPS said on its .

Rival Corp. will boost shipping rates by the same amount on Jan. 1.



UPS and FedEx rank No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America.
